Simone Micheli founded the architectural firm bearing his name in 1990 and, in 2003 the design company “Simone Micheli Architectural Hero”, with offices in Florence, Milan, Dubai and Rabat. He is the curator of themed exhibitions, “contract work” and more, for the leading international sector trade fairs.

He represented Italian interior design at the “XXX Congreso Colombiano de Arquitectura” in Baranquilla in Colombia in 2007 and at the International Architecture Conference for contract work in Hannover in Germany, in 2008. He designed the “La Casa Italiana” exhibition at the “Mube” Sculpture Museum in São Paulo in Brazil in 2008, and exhibitions at the “Franz Mayer” Museum in Mexico City and at the “Centro de las Artes” in Monterrey in 2009. He is a lecturer at Poli.Design and at the Milan Design Polytechnic School.

His professional activities are manifold and range from architecture to interior design, visual design and communications. His creations, always sustainable and environmentally friendly, are immediately identifiable and unique. He has created works for the public administration on numerous occasions and for major private customers in the residential and community housing sector.

His works have been presented at the major international exhibitions and he has held conferences and given keynote speeches at universities, cultural institutes and entities and institutions in various cities across the globe.

 

Among the national and international awards are: il “Best Interior Design” e il “Best Apartment Italy” with the project “Golfo Gabella Lake Resort” in the competition “Homes Overseas Award 2007” – Londra (international award reserved for the best residential real estate developments in the world); lʼ“International Media Prize 2008” - Shenzhen in the category “Annual Public Spaces Grand Award” e lʼ“International Design Award 2008” - Los Angeles in the category “Interior Design” with the project “New Urban Face” for the Province and the Municipality of Milan; lʼ“Interior Designer of the Year” at the “International Design Award 2008” - Los Angeles; il “Best of Year 2010” in the category “Beauty, Spa e Fitness”, award organized by Interior Design Magazine - New York, Usa and lʼ“International Media Prize 2010” in the category Annual Club Space Award, organized by Modern Decoration Magazine a Shenzen, China with the project Atomic Spa della Boscolo Hotels; il “Tre Number One Award 2011” - Venezia for the interior design and the“Contemporary Spa Award 2011” in the category “Best Future Spa” -  Bologna with the project “Marina Verde Wellness Resort” - Caorle, Venezia; “Best of Year Honoree 2012” in the category “Hospitality”organized by Interior Design Magazine, New York, with the project B4 Hotel. In 2014 Simone Micheli won theʼ”Iconic Award”- Francoforte, in the category “Interior”: international award organized by the German Design Council, with the project “uffici e showroom” per RubensLuciano in Strà, Venezia.In 2015 with interior design and lighting project of Barcelò Hotel Milan Simone Micheli won the International Hotel e Property Awards | European categories – Hotel over 200 rooms.

His works have been presented at the major international exhibitions and he has held conferences and given keynote speeches at universities, cultural institutes and entities and institutions in various cities across the globe.

He has had numerous articles published in Italian and international journals, as well as many interviews.

The last Simone Micheli monograph, From the Future to the Past, published in 2012, was a selection reflecting his twenty years of design.
