Paolo Maldotti
ARCHILANDstudio
Paolo Maldotti was born in Turin in 1958. After graduating in Architecture from the Politecnico di Torino in 1983, he began a professional journey that led him to collaborate with major Italian and international firms, developing an approach increasingly focused on the relationship between architecture, landscape, and sustainability. In 1991, he founded ArchilandStudio, based in Turin, which quickly became a benchmark for innovative and high-quality projects.
Maldotti’s work is characterized by a deep sensitivity to context, the history of places, and the needs of people. His vision centers on merging built space with the natural environment, interpreting architecture as a continuous element of the landscape rather than just a formal gesture. His projects stand out for their clean lines, masterful use of natural light, and materials carefully chosen to harmonize with the surrounding environment.
Among the most significant projects by ArchilandStudio are residential developments, public spaces, hospitality and resort complexes, and urban regeneration masterplans. Notable examples include the redevelopment of the waterfront in Imperia, the master plan for the Po River Park in Turin, luxury resorts in Sardinia, and the revitalization of historic villages throughout Piedmont and Liguria.
The studio is known for its multidisciplinary and collaborative approach, integrating architecture, urban planning, landscape design, and interior design. Every project is the result of a continuous dialogue with the natural and cultural context, with particular attention to environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.
Paolo Maldotti has participated in numerous conferences and workshops in Italy and abroad, consistently promoting a reflection on the social role of architecture and the value of beauty as a tool for regeneration. His ideas have been published in architectural magazines and presented in group exhibitions, confirming his position as an authoritative voice in the contemporary architectural debate.
Over the course of his career, Maldotti has received various awards and honors, including the Inarch Award for architectural quality and the Urbanistica Award for innovation in planning processes.
Today, Paolo Maldotti continues to lead ArchilandStudio with the same spirit of research and experimentation, solidifying his reputation as one of the leading figures in contemporary Italian architecture — capable of creating projects that combine functionality, poetry, and deep respect for the environment.
