City Park Hotel
Located in the commercial and cultural centre of Kiev, this hotel is one of the best European-style facilities in Ukraine. The project, undertaken in collaboration with MG International and Decima 1948, aimed to restore a building of the ‘40s which was used for kids’ summer holidays; the Convention Centre, has in fact been created from the rooms used for films and games. The goal, successfully achieved, was to set up an extremely versatile multi-purpose room that can be easily and economically changed back to its original use.
Due to their characteristics, the choice fell on Papillon chairs, with the addition of eighty folding tables, offering the opportunity to use the space like an auditorium, a press room, a banquet hall, a catwalk or a ballroom. If not used, the furniture can be easily put aside: the seats can be stacked on trolleys in convenient compartments concealed in the back wall, and tables can be moved under the stage set up using the Flexstage® system, featuring adjustable height to make it ideal for any type of use. Finally, the set of solutions developed by CDN for this hall is completed by multimedia systems and simultaneous translation booths placed in an acoustic setting featuring panels with adjustable tilt and variable absorption.
