Kursaal Santalucia Theatre, Bari
This iconic theatre in Bari - a Liberty-style gem designed by Orazio Santalucia in 1922 - has undergone a new process of conservative restoration managed by the Region of Puglia and the Superintendency of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage of the city of Bari. The building has always held diverse events. Today, it hosts not only an architectural work by artist Alfredo Pirri, but also a new concept of space inside the theatre.
The space has been designed as a classic theatre with orchestra-level seating and a raised stage. However, thanks to an electromechanical mechanism, it can quickly transform into a single large space. In fact, the seats can be folded and concealed inside the floor, which can then be raised to stage level.
Focus
- Folding chairs equipped with InFloorSystem technology, allowing them to be concealed within the floor.
- The gallery floor can be converted from an inclined floor configuration to a flat floor, aligning with the stage level.
- Customized seat numbering.
