Kursaal Santalucia Theatre, Bari

This iconic theatre in Bari - a Liberty-style gem designed by Orazio Santalucia in 1922 - has undergone a new process of conservative restoration managed by the Region of Puglia and the Superintendency of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage of the city of Bari. The building has always held diverse events. Today, it hosts not only an architectural work by artist Alfredo Pirri, but also a new concept of space inside the theatre.

The space has been designed as a classic theatre with orchestra-level seating and a raised stage. But thanks to an electrical mechanism, it can quickly be turned into a single large space. In fact, the seats can be folded up and hidden inside the floor, which then can be raised to stage level.

  • Folding chairs that can be hidden in the floor thanks to InFloorSystem technology
  • Floor can be raised to stage level
  • Customised production of numbers of any seat
