UNIMORE - University of Modena and Reggio Emilia
University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE), Department of Engineering, Carpi (MO)
Carpi has officially become a university city thanks to the collaboration between the CR Carpi Foundation, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and the Municipality of Carpi.
The CR Carpi Foundation fully funded the construction of the Carpi university campus: a nearly zero-energy structure, covering an area of approximately 5,000 square meters, completed in just over a year, and designed by the Lombardini22 group, a leader in the field of architecture and engineering.
In the new building, there are various classrooms, a spacious laboratory area, rooms to be allocated for university start-ups and spin-offs, spaces for studying and team working, as well as areas for carrying out cultural activities and events. This new hub dedicated to Engineering is part of the emerging extensive urban park of Oltreferrovia, designed by Mario Cucinella.
The classrooms of the new Department, named after Enzo Ferrari and also housing the Master's Degree Program in "Sustainable Industrial Engineering," have been furnished with Aresline's Omnia Evolution study desks. The large windows in the classrooms, from which the Urban Park is visible, provide students with a unique view of the surrounding nature, and the color of the study desks has been intentionally chosen to "blend" with the surroundings, creating a play of light and shadow in which "green" becomes an integral part of the environment.
In the choice of furniture, which is harmonious and unobtrusive, there has been no compromise on technological equipment and wiring to provide students with a high-level service.
Focus
- Attention to the choice of harmonious and unobtrusive furniture.
